About
A software studio that plans before it builds
Daelus is a software studio in Nairobi, set up in September 2026 by Ken Muritu after four years of building on his own: client sites, church systems, campus tools, and a leadership programme’s full application-and-payments platform.
We build websites with real back ends, admin tools, payment, email and form integrations, embedded systems when the job needs hardware, and applied AI when it earns its place. We work for founders and programme leads, growing businesses and campus organisations, wherever they are.
Two habits define the work. The plan is written before the code, so you know what you are paying for. At handover, the accounts and data are in your name.
The name
Daedalus was the craftsman of Greek myth who built the labyrinth at Knossos and then built the wings that got him out of it. He also warned his son not to fly too close to the sun. We took our name from him for both reasons: we take on the hard part and do it carefully, and we don't take risks with a client's system to look clever.
Say it DAY-lus.
